TNK BP is to sell Alpha Arbat Centre – a 47,200 m2 office centre in Moscow – to Transneft. The parties do not comment on the deal but informed sources say that it will be closed soon. Experts value the asset at €187m – more than two times the price TNK BP might have paid for the centre in 2002-2003 when it bought the asset from the Alpha Group (however, the exact price was never made public). After the deal is closed TNK BP will move out to Nordstar Towers where it will lease office space. Transneft intends to use Alpha Arbat Centre to locate its headquarters.
