Apraksin Dvor will get hotels, shopping galleries and underground parking

The Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage of St. Petersburg has examined the renovation project of Apraksin Dvor. The project will undertake the preservation of the architectural monument and also adjust it to modern use.
Today the project covers reconstruction of Apraksin Dvor and Mariinsky market being treated as a single complex, and consisting of 58 buildings. The reconstruction will include creation of a pedestrian zone, sidewalks, hotels, retail and catering areas. In the southern part of the new complex an underground parking for 1,400 cars will be built. The height of the buildings on the territory of Apraksin Dvor will not exceed 22 m.
