New state residence may be built in Primorsky Territory

There are plans to build a new state residence for Russia’s President on the Gamov Peninsula, in the Khasansky District of the Primorsky Territory. The cost of the project is thought to be €190m, and some of this money is expected to come from private investors.
The construction of the 26,500 m
2 residence was mentioned in the corrected federal plan pertaining to the development of the Far Eastern Federal District between now and 2013. The document also contains information about proposed spending from the federal budget on this project. Official sources have claimed that the final decision on the construction of the residence has not been made yet.
At present, the Russian President has residences in Sochi (Bocharov Ruchey), in Karelia (Shuyskaya Chupa), in Valday, in the Novgorod Province (Dolgiye Borody), and in St. Petersburg (Konstantinovsky Dvorets).
