BazelCement demontrates 56% production growth in 2011

BazelCement Group, Russian cement producer, has said it produced 1.3 million tonnes of cement in 2011, which is 56% more than in 2010, according to arendator.ru.
The major share of the aforementioned produce volume (811,000 tonnes of cement) was manufactured at the Achinsky Cement factory. BazelCement plans to invest $5-7m (€4-5.5m) in the factory every year until 2014. While in 2012, the company intends to put into operation a new cement plant in the Ryazan Province – "Serebryansky tsementny zavod" – a project in which the company cooperates with Chinese contractors.
BazelCement is part of
Bazovy Element (Bazel), a large Russian construction holding. As
Russian Construction Review reported, a 75% stake in BazelCement could be sold, and French
Lafarge Group and Russian
Eurocement expressed their interest.
