Flexible roof tile plant to appear in Ryazan Province

The company TechnoNICOL is to build its second flexible roof tile plant in Ryazan Province. The plant will have an annual capacity of 30 million m2 and the investment will amount to RUB 1bn (€25m). The capacity of the existing plant amounts to 10-12 million m2. The new factory is expected to start regular operation in Q1 2013, with a test launch set for the end of 2012.
According to TechnoNICOL, the new facility will allow the company to lower prices on its products. Also, the company claims that today's roofing materials market in Russia has reached a size of 500 million m2 per year. At the same time the company points out that government policy for the development of the individual low-storey construction sector in Russia is a favourable condition for the company's production increase.
